Short answer: your Project Kick Start Meeting is where we talk through your plans, explain what is possible for your home and what is realistically likely to be approved, then follow up with a design and a fixed build price. It is the first step of our design and build process.
What we talk about
- How you live in your home now and what is not working.
- What you would like to add: bedrooms, a bathroom, a bigger kitchen or a home office.
- The options that suit your house, such as a loft conversion, an extension or both.
- What is likely to be approved, including any conservation area or planning history.
- Your timescale and how you would like the project to run.
What is useful to have ready
You do not need drawings to book a meeting. If you have them, existing plans, previous planning decisions, photos of homes you like and a rough idea of your budget all help us give you clearer advice.
What happens next
- Design: our in house architects draw your plans with you until the layout works for the way you live.
- Planning and engineering: we handle the design, planning and pre build admin, and our structural engineers complete the calculations.
- Your build cost locked in: when you appoint us, your agreed build cost is locked in.
- Managed build: a dedicated site crew, project manager and project co-ordinator run the build, with daily updates through your client portal.
