How accessible this website is and how to report a problem.
Surrey Build Group wants everyone to be able to use www.surreybuildgroup.co.uk, including people with disabilities. This statement explains how accessible the website is, how to report problems and what to do if you are not happy with our response. It reflects our duties under the Equality Act 2010.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline and a skip to content link at the top of each page.
- Text has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background.
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and one main heading, so screen reader users can move around easily.
- Images have descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are explained in text next to the field and announced to screen readers.
- Text can be resized up to 200 percent without losing content, and the layout works on small screens.
- Animation is switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Our cookie banner can be used with a keyboard and screen reader, and never traps your keyboard focus.
Known limitations
Some content comes from third parties, such as embedded maps and links to review platforms, and may not fully meet the same standard. If you need information from these in another format, please contact us.
